If you receive a lower written quote from a qualified competitor for a comparable system, SOS Alarm will beat that price by 20%, subject to the following terms and conditions.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the SOS Alarm 20% Lower Price Guarantee, all of the following conditions must be met: The competing quote must be submitted in writing and provided directly from the competitor. The competitor must be a licensed and legally operating alarm company within the applicable service area. The competitor must utilize in-house technicians for installation and service work. The quote must be current and dated within thirty (30) days of submission to SOS Alarm. The customer must provide SOS Alarm with a complete copy of the competitor’s proposal prior to contract signing or installation. The competing system must be substantially comparable in equipment quality, functionality, monitoring services, warranty coverage, installation scope, and overall system capability.
Comparable System Requirements
The competing quote must represent a system that is reasonably comparable to the system proposed by SOS Alarm, including but not limited to: Similar brand quality and equipment specifications Similar quantity and type of devices Comparable monitoring services Comparable installation standards Comparable warranties and service terms Comparable smart home or automation functionality Comparable camera resolution, storage, and features (if applicable) Comparable fire alarm, intrusion, access control, or environmental detection capabilities SOS Alarm reserves the sole right to determine whether a competitor’s proposal is substantially comparable.
Exclusions
The 20% Lower Price Guarantee does not apply to: Monthly monitoring or recurring service fees DIY or self-installed systems Online-only retailers or marketplace pricing Liquidation, clearance, closeout, used, refurbished, or auction pricing Promotional pricing tied to limited-time events, employee discounts, membership pricing, builder programs, or special buying groups Verbal estimates or undocumented pricing Quotes containing non-comparable equipment or reduced scope of work Systems installed by unlicensed contractors National “call center” companies utilizing subcontracted installation providers Projects involving incomplete information, missing specifications, or unclear installation scope Existing installed systems requiring takeover or repair unless specifically quoted by SOS Alarm Commercial projects requiring prevailing wage, union labor, engineered drawings, or specialty permitting unless specifically matched in scope Verification Process
All submitted competitor quotes are subject to verification by SOS Alarm. Verification may include: Confirming competitor licensing status Reviewing equipment specifications Comparing installation scope and labor requirements Confirming monitoring terms and warranties Validating that pricing is legitimate and current SOS Alarm reserves the right to reject any quote that cannot be verified or does not meet the requirements of this offer.
Pricing Adjustment
If the submitted quote qualifies under these terms and conditions, SOS Alarm will provide a revised proposal priced at twenty percent (20%) lower than the verified competitor’s comparable equipment and installation pricing.
The final adjusted pricing will be determined solely by SOS Alarm after review and verification.
Limitations
