SOS Alarm is pleased to offer qualifying customers a professionally installed basic security system at little or no upfront equipment and installation cost when enrolling in a qualifying monitoring service agreement.
This promotional offer is intended to provide customers with affordable access to professionally installed electronic security and life safety services backed by local support and monitoring.
Participation in this offer constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions outlined below.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the SOS Alarm Free Security System Offer, customers must: Be at least eighteen (18) years of age Own or have authorization to install a security system at the protected premises Pass SOS Alarm’s standard credit and account approval process Execute a monitoring service agreement with SOS Alarm Maintain active monitoring service for the minimum required term Allow installation access during normal business hours unless otherwise agreed SOS Alarm reserves the right to approve or deny any applicant at its sole discretion.
Minimum Monitoring Agreement
This promotional offer requires a minimum sixty (60) month monitoring agreement.
The monitoring agreement begins on the date monitoring services are activated.
Monthly monitoring rates will vary depending on: System size Equipment selected Cellular or internet communication methods Smart home automation features Camera or video surveillance services Environmental detection devices Fire alarm monitoring Additional services or integrations The customer agrees to pay all recurring monthly monitoring charges for the full agreement term.
Included Promotional Equipment
The free promotional system may include a basic combination of equipment selected by SOS Alarm, which may include: Control panel Keypad Motion detector Door/window sensors Yard sign and decals Cellular communicator Mobile app access (if applicable) Included equipment may vary by promotion, property type, and service availability.
Additional equipment, upgraded devices, cameras, smart home products, locks, thermostats, video doorbells, access control devices, environmental sensors, or specialty equipment may require additional charges.
Installation Terms
Standard installation is included only for qualifying systems and standard residential applications.
Additional charges may apply for: Large homes or commercial properties Complex installations Finished-wall wire fishing Excessive labor or travel After-hours installation requests Permit fees Additional programming requirements Custom mounting or construction work Electrical work not included in standard alarm installation Any non-standard work will be disclosed prior to installation whenever reasonably possible.
Equipment Ownership
Unless otherwise specified in writing, equipment provided under this promotional offer becomes the property of the customer upon fulfillment of the initial sixty (60) month monitoring agreement and payment of all amounts due.
Prior to completion of the agreement term: SOS Alarm retains a security interest in promotional equipment Equipment may not be transferred, sold, tampered with, relocated, or removed without authorization Customer remains responsible for protecting the equipment from damage beyond normal wear and tear Early Cancellation
If monitoring service is canceled, terminated, suspended for non-payment, or otherwise discontinued prior to completion of the initial sixty (60) month agreement term, the customer agrees to pay: The remaining unpaid balance of the agreement, OR The prorated unrecovered cost of equipment, installation, labor, commissions, and services provided by SOS Alarm, whichever amount is permitted under applicable law and the executed monitoring agreement. Customer acknowledges that promotional pricing is based upon SOS Alarm recovering installation and equipment costs over the full agreement term.
